Transitions are tubes that gradually widen from a smaller to a larger diameter. They come in two tapering options: Long (14º) and Short (30º). Typically, a 2-inch straight section is included at the smaller end. Transitions are custom-made and identified by their smaller diameter. To determine the tapered section's length, subtract the smaller diameter from the larger one and multiply by 4.07 (Long) or 1.87 (Short). To order, choose the taper type, then select the outside diameter (OD) and wall thickness (gauge). For instance, with a material of 304SS, a 16g gauge, and a 2-inch small OD, a Long taper would result in the part number RD-200-16-304-L. After selecting the part number, choose the 'Large End OD' using the dropdown menu. To specify the outlet size, locate the range for the specific SKU, then input a measurement within that range in 1/8-inch increments for the 'Large End OD'.
