Soft Touch Holly is a dense, yet soft shrub with glossy green foliage and a round growth habit. Along with the very similar boxwood shrubs they are often used to maintain green spaces in home gardens and landscapes throughout the world. Dwarf shrubs such as the Soft Touch Holly reach 2-3' H x 3-4' W once mature and are fast growers! Plant these dwarf holly bushes in a spot that receives full sun to partial shade in USDA zones 6a-8b. They tend to prefer slightly acidic soil that is well-draining. Once you have planted your hollies be sure to water deeply numerous times a week until it has matured. Once mature these plants are drought tolerant and will not need water as much except during extremely hot periods. This evergreen shrub looks attractive in any landscape as woodland borders, mass plantings, or seamlessly planted as landscape hedges. Holly shrubs ship as a 2.5-gallon potted plant with soil from the Alabama Gulf Coast. Not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival. This plant is unavailable to ship to Hawaii and Alaska.
