Pamako Monovarietal Mountain Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a high-quality extra virgin olive oil from Greece, produced from carefully selected olives. The name "Pamako" is unique, but it was chosen with good reason. This olive oil is noted for its higher-than-average phenolic content, particularly oleocanthal and oleacein, which are naturally occurring compounds found in olive oil. Research has shown that these phenolic compounds, including oleocanthal and oleacein, have antioxidant properties. A chemical analysis conducted by Dr. Prokopios Magiatis of the University of Athens, as well as the World Olive Center, has confirmed that Pamako Monovarietal EVOO from the 2021 harvest contains high levels of these specific phenolic compounds. According to European Regulation 432/2012, the high concentration of these phenols in Pamako EVOO makes it eligible for specific health-related claims related to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative damage, provided the appropriate daily intake is met (20g per day).
